General Information

Student Run Television (SRTV) is a campus-wide television station broadcast on channel 18 that is currently and always looking for new student content. In the near future we also hope to broadcast via our website. We are entirely student run and directly control our content and budget within very little restriction (and we're very responsible with our money - we would never buy four big wheels to race down hills on campus). We have an on campus TV studio where we produce most of our stuff, though we also do plenty of things outside of the TV area, if that's more your thing.

Our members have access to a good deal of equipment including lighting kits, standard and high definition camcorders, bluescreens, microphones, etc. If you don't know how to use something, we can show you how. Our studio is equipped with a live editing system that allows us total control over live video production as well as Finalcut and Adobe Premier editing systems for non-live content.

There are no requirements for joining other than showing up.

Meetings

Meetings are currently postponed while SRTV management is under re-organization. You can still keep up with us via email.

SRTV holds weekly meetings at 6pm on Wednesdays. These meetings are a great place to show up if you are interested in joining SRTV or seeing how we do things. If you can't make these meetings for whatever reason, feel free to use our website or any other method to get in touch with us so we can help you contribute.

Location

SRTV is located in the Student Center on the second floor. We're right next to the Treetop Lounge, which is right above the General Store. Click here for a map.
